After the successful launch of their first 3 decks Superdead returned to ask if I would like to produce a trydich set for them based on the super trash B-movie: Street Trash. I jumped at the chance. Also producing work for them is my mate and super talented Mr Gauky. Go see if you can find them and buy all three decks, wheels and tees we did for them:
Route One asked me to do a set of decks as an artists range and I jumped at the chance to do a Triptych (one image on three canvases) on boards. Not my last either since they asked- more to come! The set come with a Tee and are available now from Route One
Been doing a lot of boards recently for some grassroots teams which has been great for producing more stuff lending to my kinda style; they tend to go all out and ask for the sickest I can do. total shock! What a night we had. Luke and I caught a taxi into town and met up with james at the gallery (they had Kozik paintings there!!) to see the final ten entries- totall surprise that my SWH ('skull with hair' named after this awesome designer by the same name) had made it to the top ten. My mate James is the announcer of the winners this night and tells me he knows who has already won but will not say a word- I am thinking its the brilliant Wotto looking board. My god the other boards were good, so I made few bets with some people, picking out our fav's. James says he is going to announce the winner early so they can all start drinking 'properly'. I wait at the back of the crowd with Luke in the club downstairs as james announced 3rd to 1st in that order- the two boards I put money on to win were announced as 3rd and 2nd which left me short of cash and totally confused. When he called out my name it was such a surprise hahah and I had to give a little speech- i just mumbled into the mic and said thank you. I was shaking and sweating and completely blown away. I was given the board mock to pose with for photos and stuff and had a rad night. I met loads of cool artists I didnt know existed and loads of amazingly nice people. Luke and James were so drunk and ace- they kept patting me on the back and saying how proud they were of me. I think I had one of the best nights for years. Not a big company- not a huge prize- and all that is not important to me- but the fact that it was local and judged by my peers made it super special for me. Thanks everyone that was there :)

our local skateboard company are holding a competition and I entered- these are my entries. The winner is picked at a club on thursday night- I'm well excited- its all rolled into the xmas feeling I'm having at the mo' hahaha. I'm really proud to take part- these guys are safe as fuck. I dont think there is any voting- the owner picks the winner himself...I hope they aint too morbid..."morbid? but thats just you"...my Mrs said hahaha.
being one of the main designers for old man army is amazing...getting to produce boards all the time is a dream come true for me...here is one of a few and of many more to come (link to purchase under the pic)
Sorry I havent posted much- been busy as hell.
Finally I am working on some skateboards- my life long dream! (my actually biggest dream is the power of flight, but this is pretty rad...).
